Common questions.

Can BMW detect the tune?

BMW logs boost and ignition events that persist even after a stock-revert on some platforms (notably F8x M3/M4 with the latest software). We can stock-revert before a dealer visit but the overboost log entries don't always clear. Tell us your dealer-visit plans up front.

Do I need OTS or custom?

We custom-tune every car. Stock bolt-on M3/M4s come pretty close on OTS maps, but custom on the dyno with your specific intake, downpipes, and IC will outperform OTS every time.

Will Stage 1 work on stock fuel?

S55 and S58 stock fuel systems handle Stage 1 fine on 93 octane. Going past Stage 2 (port injection + big boost) requires an upgraded fuel system.

How long does the appointment take?

Stage 1: 2–3 hours. Stage 2 with mods to install: half-day to full day depending on parts. Bench-flash for built engines: schedule ahead.
